As the people have become more informed and are staying up
to speed with the latest trends, there are more and more styles being launched
to suit the individual body type and personal style. The most popular and
sought after is the bespoke jeans. Who doesn't like a little
customization with their garment that fits like a dream?
But to get that ultimate fit, you can either get one from
the scratch or get the existing ones altered to fit like they were meant for
you. Use this tips if you want to get the bespoke jeans look
through an altered pair of denim.
Leave alone what cannot be altered
The whole point of a custom jeans is that
it should look perfect. While most aspects of a pair are generally alterable,
sometimes it is just best to leave them alone. It is not worthy of your time
and money if the pair doesn't fit well already. Too tight on the hips? Clingy
to the waist? Creating a muffin top? There is hardly you can do to salvage the
look. So leave this one and pick another pair that fits. To be qualify for
perfect alteration, the jeans should already have perfect rise, fit at the hips
and crotch. Other fit issues such as length, gapping waste or baggy legs can be
easily fixed.
Modify the length
Unless you like to explore various look options with the
length, the best pair is the one that finishes at your ankle. It is easier for
a tailor to shorten jeans than to add length to it. If you want to shorten the
length, you can ask your tailor to give you an original hem. The tailor with
remove the extra fabric from the denim and reattach it with the original hem.
If you are not comfortable with removing the fabric, ask them to turn it
inwards and stitch it for the desired length.
The Perfect Fit
Sometimes you will find a pair of jeans that
fits well but is too loose at the thighs. Or maybe, you have got an old pair
that you would want to change into a skinny fit that is more stylish these
days. The thing about bespoke jeans is that it must be perfect
in every way. You can taper the legs of you need to change the look of your
straight fit jeans to a new slim fit style or you can get the baggy thigh part
altered to fit on your legs properly. Your tailor will mark the parts of your
leg that need to be altered to finish the look. Be open with your tailor about
the look you want and only get it modified if you are on the same page.
